For the opening of the journal Breaking Barriers to Learning and Education (Zeitschrift für Sonderpädagogik des Lernens), you are invited to submit empirical, theoretical and conceptual contributions on the topics of inclusive education and special education for learning from July 2025 after the University Conference on Special Education for Learning at the FU Berlin.
Submissions may cover the entire field and its neighboring areas as well as their research methods. This includes fundamental questions about what disability or special education for learning is or should be, what educational work is associated with it and what school and social issues may be related to it. Related topics suggested in the topic booklet are:
- Special education of learning in society, school and work
- Special education of learning in diagnostics and support
- Special education of learning in teaching and school
- Inclusive education in relation to society and disability
In the form of comments, which are not subject to the peer review process, short and pointer positions of the chairs/study centers on the basic questions of special education of learning can also be submitted.
